Hills, hills and more hills…oh yeah, and some yummy leeches!

This weekend was HECTIC.

Nothing else can explain it. It was a weekend of blood, sweat and tears……literally!

A 4.5 hour hike on Saturday that was so beautifully scenic  – 100m waterfalls, fresh swimming holes – however it was an intense hike full of hills and stairs  and also full of sooooo many laughs as you can see in the video! We even had a Japanese tourist laughing at Jess’s crutch because of the leeches crawling up her inner thighs (who knows what he was saying in Japanese about that…..the mind does boggle!)!

We also wore moustaches on this hike as a dare by Katie McAleese who donated $100 to The Harcourts Foundation! Thanks, legend!

On Sunday we had a team session with the crew from Adventure Professionals and by far it was the most hectic three hour session yet! However – LOVED every second of it.

Our team is really starting to dominate. And that is not just the team here in Brisbane but our Team right across the country!

The harder it gets, the more I am falling in love with this whole adventure! Leeches and all!

Kokoda is giving me so many  new experiences, so many new challenges and so many opportunities, and I am learning to embrace all of it! BRING IT ON!

Dominate your week!

Over and out,

So about a week ago our team started creating training videos to share internally amongst our Team, Kokoda Blue, to get each other totally amped, pumped and motivated! Not just around training, but also around fundraising for Beyond Blue.

There have been some very crazy, random and awesome videos over the last week! Actually, some very random and very crazy!

We had a request this week to share some of our training antics with the world to further show what we are up to, and share with you how we are achieving our training and fundraising goals!

This video was from last week – me completing the “Stairs of Pain and Fury”, as I have come to call them!

As you can tell, I am 100% DUSTED to the max! However the pain now is so worth it (and I am quietly loving it!). More pain now results in less pain on the track….well that is the theory! Let’s see how that goes!

There were 100 each way – 20 ups and 20 downs, 4000 stairs in total, with 10kgs in my back pack! How I was walking the next day is a total mystery!

No I may look like a total tool but it is aaaaaaaallllllllllll so WORTH IT!!

Game on and over and out!
